About this cigar
Experience the Legend of Partagas LusitaniaWe proudly present the Partagas Lusitania, a legendary cigar testament to Cuba's rich cigar-making heritage. With its remarkable length of 7 5/8 inches and a ring gauge of 49, the Lusitania is an iconic choice for cigar smokers seeking a medium-to-strong cigar with a story.
The Legacy of Partagas LusitaniaThe Partagas Lusitania has graced the world of cigars for many years, earning its rightful place among Cuba's most iconic and classic cigar offerings. In 2017, it received accolades as one of the finest cigars available, a distinction that still holds today. However, crafting a double corona like the Lusitania is a large feat.
These cigars demand a particularly large and flawless tobacco leaf to envelop their impressive seven-and-a-half inches fully. In recent years, Cuba has faced challenges with inconsistent crops and adverse weather conditions, leading to a shortage of large, high-quality wrapper leaves.
But even in the face of adversity, Cuba has continued to produce exceptional Lusitania cigars that capture the essence of Cuban craftsmanship. Unveiling the Lusitania ExperienceWhen you enjoy a Partagas Lusitania, you you are in for something interesting.
These cigars begin with floral and sweet notes that gently tantalize your palate before gradually revealing layers of leather, cedar, and the subtle nuttiness of almonds. It's a complex symphony of flavours that evolves with each draw, offering a rich and rewarding smoking experience that lingers in your memory.
The Heart of PartagasPartagas, founded in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagas, stands as one of the most renowned cigar factories in Havana. The deep, earthy flavour that immediately distinguishes a Partagas cigar results from carefully selected filler and binder tobaccos grown in the esteemed Vuelta Abajo zone.
Each leaf is chosen for its unmistakable richness of flavour and aroma, a hallmark of Partaga's quality that has endured for generations. Our collection of Partagas cigars encompasses various shapes and sizes, but the Lusitania remains a standout choice. Its impressive stature and storied history make it a must-try for any cigar enthusiast.
Another notable selection is the 8-9-8, a cigar that derives its name from the unique way it is arranged within its box.

Questions we get asked
Provenance, packing and storage, answered plainly.
Is this box genuine English Market Selection stock?
Yes. Our Partagas cigars come through Hunters and Frankau, the official UK importer for Habanos S.A. Every box carries the green EMS stamp, and UK duty and VAT are already paid.
How will it be packed?
It goes out in a sealed pouch with a free Boveda 69% humidity pack, which holds the cigars at roughly 65 to 70% humidity while they are in transit. We ship Royal Mail Tracked 24, or Special Delivery if you would rather.
How should I store it once it arrives?
Keep it in a humidor or an airtight box with a 65% or 69% Boveda pack, somewhere around 18 to 20°C. British houses get very dry in winter once the heating goes on, so a sealed container makes a real difference.
